Little Farmers Africa — Episode 1: Introducting Little Farmers Africa

Little Farmers Africa packages farming into an entertaining children’s show that aims at changing the negative perception amongst children on agriculture as well as learning how the food they eat looks like, how it is grown, food’s nutritional value, and developing a new appreciation for food and farming. ‘Little Farmers Show’ introduces kids to how to care for animals and plants, as well as helps the children develop greater awareness of the effects of climate change. Through participation in the Edu-farms, the children learn life skills, hard work, problem-solving skills, teamwork and how to be more responsible. The Show targets the youth’s mindsets about agriculture’s livelihood potential, thus dispelling negative perceptions and identifying multiple pathways to financial success. The aim is for youth to work in agriculture by choice, not circumstance.
